Is psychotherapy covered by OHIP in Ontario?
No — psychotherapy with a Registered Psychotherapist is not covered by OHIP. However, many extended health insurance plans through employers or schools cover "Registered Psychotherapist (RP)" services. We issue a receipt after each session that you can submit to your insurer.
How much does online therapy cost?
Fees range from $160–$190 per 60-minute session depending on your therapist. Fees are listed on each therapist's information page. Each therapist has a limited number of sliding-scale spots are available, if cost is a barrier — please mention this when you first contact us.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes — every new client is offered a free 20-minute video consultation, so you can meet with a therapist to decide whether they're a good fit before committing to anything.
Where are you located? Can you see me if I live in another Ontario city?
We are a 100% virtual clinic physically based in London, Ontario. Because our therapists are registered to practice throughout the province, we work with clients everywhere in Ontario — Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Mississauga, Kitchener-Waterloo, Windsor, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, and every community in between.
If I live outside of Ontario, Canada would I be able to use your services?
Generally speaking, we are not typically able to provide our services to individuals who are residents of other countries, due to different regulatory requirements.
In terms of other provinces and territories within Canada, we will have to check on the regulatory requirements governing psychotherapy in your province of residence. Please ask us, and we will check into it.
What languages do you offer therapy in?
We primarily offer therapy in English, however, Hiral is able to also offer therapy in Hindi, and Gujarati.
What forms of payment do you accept?
In order to keep the payment process simple, when you fill out your Intake form online, you will be asked to enter a valid credit card - which is encrypted in your file. At the end of a session your therapist is able to receive payment through your credit card on file, and will send you an emailed receipt.
