Online Therapy for
Anxiety and Panic
Our Registered Psychotherapists provide online therapy for adults (17+) across Ontario experiencing persistent worry and overthinking; panic attacks and the fear of having another one; social anxiety; health-related anxiety; anxiety alongside depression or past trauma; and "high-functioning" anxiety — where everything looks fine on the outside while you're exhausted underneath.
Anxiety has a way of shrinking life — and it wears many faces.
For some, it's constant worry that won't switch off: a racing mind, a tight chest, trouble sleeping, dread about ordinary tasks.
For others, it arrives as panic — sudden, overwhelming waves that seem to come out of nowhere, followed by fear of the next one.
However anxiety shows up for you, please know this: it is not a character flaw, and you don't have to white-knuckle your way through it. Anxiety — in all its forms — is a nervous system doing its best to protect you. With skilled support, it can learn to stand down
How Online Therapy Helps
Many approaches to anxiety stop at managing symptoms. Our goal is to go further. Together we'll build practical skills for calming your body and mind — drawing on cognitive-behavioural and DBT skills, and on somatic approaches informed by Polyvagal Theory that work directly with your nervous system.
For panic, we'll help you understand the panic cycle — how the fear of the sensations themselves keeps the alarm ringing — and rebuild your confidence step by step, so panic loses its grip on your choices.
And when anxiety, or panic is rooted in traumatic experiences, approaches such as Parts Work and compassion-focused trauma processing allows us to address what lies underneath, so relief isn't just temporary coping.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need therapy for anxiety?
A useful marker is interference: if worry, tension, avoidance, or fears are affecting your sleep, work, relationships, or enjoyment of life — or if you're simply tired of feeling this way — that's reason enough. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.
Can online therapy really help with panic attacks?
Yes. The skills that help with panic — understanding the panic cycle, body-based calming techniques, and gradually rebuilding confidence — translate fully to secure video sessions, and you get to practice them in the very environment where you live.
Are intrusive thoughts normal?
Yes — nearly everyone has occasional intrusive thoughts. Having a disturbing thought does not mean you want it, agree with it, or would ever act on it. Having these thoughts, does not mean they are true. This is one of the most important and most relieving things people learn in therapy.
Is therapy for anxiety or panic covered by insurance in Ontario?
Psychotherapy with a Registered Psychotherapist isn't covered by OHIP, but many extended health plans cover "Registered Psychotherapist (RP)" services. We issue receipts after every session, and a limited number of sliding-scale spots are available.
